Following her solo debut at the prestigious Atheneum in Bucharest, Anelise Gamulescu was revered by critics on Classic FM Romania, being described as "an exceptional pianist with a refined sound" who ‘captivates the audience with her talent and power of expression’.
Anelise has since made appearances in international venues such as Cadogan Hall (UK), Charlton House (UK), St. James’ Church (UK), Theatre Municipal (Fra) and Arcub Hall (Ro). Upcoming highlights include her debuts in the Lichfield Summer Festival and Farley Autumn Festival which are taking place this year (2026).
Since May of 2026, Anelise has been taken on as a Talent Unlimited Artist and is looking forward to her debut in their concert series.
Aside from core repertoire, Anelise is equally passionate about modern and contemporary pieces, with her 26/27 season including works by Fazil Say, Unsuk Chin, Henri Dutilleux, George Enescu.
Anelise began her training in Romania, where she won over 50 youth competitions. At 16 she moved to the UK where she received yearly scholarships to continue her studies at the Purcell School and subsequently at the Royal Academy of Music. Her mentor during this time is acclaimed pianist Florian Mitrea.
Anelise’s development as an artist has further been shaped by masterclasses and summer courses with esteemed musicians, including Boris Berman, Joanna MacGregor CBE, Alexandra Dariescu, Yejin Gil, Till Fellner.
